UNITY - A Positive Path for Spiritual Living

Unity offers practical, spiritual teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living. Unity is a world-wide movement that was founded in 1889 by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in Kansas City, MO, as part of the growing New Thought movement in America. We refer to ourselves as “culturally Christian and universally inclusive,” meaning that while our primary inspiration is from the Hebrew Bible, the New Testament, and the teachings of Jesus Christ, we recognize truth in all of the world’s sacred scriptures and faith traditions and view each person as a unique expression of the divine energy we call God (by many names). Currently, there nearly 1,000 Unity churches and study groups around the world.

Sunday Worship

Sunday worship service is every Sunday at 10:30 AM. Unity of Charlottesville has been a part of the Charlottesville community for 30 years.

Unity Prayer Partners are available immediately after the service to pray individually with any person. You may also call (434) 961-PRAY to leave a prayer request. All prayer is confidential.

Youth Education Programs

Every Sunday, we introduce Truth principles and assist children in integrating them into their daily lives. We have lessons and activities for preschool, grade school and middle school ages. High school teens participate in our Youth of Unity (Y.O.U.) program.

Pastoral Counseling

Pastoral Counseling at Unity is based on a foundation of prayer. We believe that the Presence of God within each individual provides the potential for guidance, understanding and answers sought. Within a safe and loving environment we are dedicated to helping individuals achieve a greater understanding and expression of their potential, individually and in relationship.
